Fastest route: Parents manage setup, progress, rewards, payment, and security in the parent area. Children only need the protected child login and their own learning screen.
Create the parent account and child profile
The parent account controls all family settings. Create it once, then add the child who will practise.
- Open registration and create the parent account.
- Follow the setup in the parent area and add your child's profile.
- Select the correct grade and the curriculum used by the school.
- Save the profile. You can then create the child's own login or pair a device.
Use the school's curriculum choice. If you are unsure whether the school uses Thüringen or Sachsen, ask the school office or teacher before changing it.
Log the child in with username and PIN
In the parent area, open Child & setup, select the child, and create a username and a PIN under Child login. The PIN must contain 6 to 8 digits. Your child then signs in at kabutschi.de/kind.
The illustrated guide shows exactly where the PIN is created and translates the German buttons on the child screen.
Pair the child's device with a one-time code
Pairing is an alternative to entering the username and PIN. It connects one browser directly to the selected child profile.
- In the parent area, open Child & setup and select the child.
- Under Link device, choose Create 6-digit code. Kabutschi shows the code.
- On the child's device, open kabutschi.de/kind and select the Koppel-Code tab.
- Enter the code and select Gerät koppeln, which means Pair device.
The paired device only opens the selected child profile. It does not open the parent account, payments, or another child's data.
Reset a PIN or solve a login problem
Forgotten PIN
Open Child & setup, select the child, and save a new PIN under Child login. A signed-in parent can set a new PIN without knowing the old one.
Username is unavailable
Choose another username with 3 to 32 characters. Lowercase letters, numbers, dots, underscores, and hyphens are allowed.
Login still fails
- Check the username character by character.
- Enter the 6 to 8 digit PIN again.
- Make sure the Username tab is selected.
- On a shared device, sign out the previous child first.
Never email a child's PIN. If you need help, explain the error without sending credentials.
Start the first practice session
After login, the child can start with Kabutschi's suggested route or choose the current school topic manually.
- Select Los üben! to start directly, or select Fach & Thema selbst wählen to choose manually.
- When choosing manually, select the subject and then the topic currently being taught at school.
- Read the short topic introduction and select Verstanden. Aufgaben starten!.
- Answer the first questions. Progress is saved to the signed-in child profile.
Keep the first session short. Ten focused minutes on the right school topic are more useful than a long random session.
Understand progress and the child's reward
Once the linked child has practised, the parent area shows the activity under Today and the longer-term view under Progress.
- Use Today for the latest practice activity.
- Use Progress to see development over time.
- Use Exams to plan the next Klassenarbeit.
- Use Rewards to manage the child's family reward goal.
Parents can set a monthly child reward goal of up to 100 EGP. When the goal is reached, the parent confirms the payout and resets the goal for the next cycle.
Subscription, payment, survey credit, and referrals
Checkout is handled securely by Kashier. The payment methods available to you are shown during checkout.
Feedback survey after 7 days
The short survey appears halfway through the trial and takes about three minutes. Completing it earns 100 EGP in subscription credit, valid for 60 days. The reward does not depend on whether the feedback is positive or negative.
Referral credits
The invited family receives 100 EGP in subscription credit, valid for 60 days. The referring family receives 275 EGP after the invited family makes its first confirmed payment. That reward is valid for 12 months. A maximum of six referral rewards can be earned per calendar year.
Two confirmed referrals equal 550 EGP, the current monthly price for one child. Eligible credits are reserved and applied to the next checkout. They have no cash value, and self-referrals or duplicate referrals do not qualify.
Account, password, privacy, and support
Change the parent password
Open Account, then Security in the parent area. Use the password reset option there.
Report a problem or request a feature
The Support Center in the parent area lets you send an issue report or feature request. It includes the current page and browser details so support can diagnose the problem. It does not send your password or the child's learning content.
Delete the account
For full account deletion, email support@kabutschi.de from the parent account's email address. The applicable retention and deletion periods are explained in the privacy policy. Account data may be retained for up to 90 days after account expiry before deletion.
Never send passwords, child PINs, payment card details, or unnecessary personal information by email.
